To view the help system as it was designed, you must have a Macintosh or Windows computer, running version 4 or later of Internet Explorer or Netscape, or a current version of Safari or Firefox. Netscape 6.0 is not supported on any platform, but versions 6.1 and later are supported. The help system may work with Opera or other browsers, but those browsers have not been tested and are not officially supported. The first time the help system opens, there is a slight delay as the navigation and topics are initiated. When consulting the help frequently, keeping the help file open is recommended. If you are experiencing a blank page using the Safari browser, please upgrade to the latest version of Safari; Apple is working on these types of issues. If you are experiencing difficulty accessing context-sensitive help using the Safari browser, try accessing the help through the contents menu instead (Help > VectorWorks Help), or try accessing the help using a different browser. The Back button may not function in Safari. If you prefer not to change your default browser, you can create an alias to the help system that uses a different browser, such as Firefox. To do so, right-click the index.html file in [VectorWorks]\VWHelp. Select Get Info and set the file to open with the desired browser. Create an alias to the index.html file, and use the alias to launch the help system; context-sensitive help, however, still opens with the system’s default browser.
