Context-sensitive Help
While in VectorWorks, if you need information about a particular tool or command, press F1 (Windows), press Help or Cmd + ? (Macintosh), or click Help > What’s This? and drag the question mark to the item of interest. The help system automatically opens in single-frame mode, providing you the help you need in a resizable window. This mode allows you to simultaneously view the help topic and the VectorWorks application.
The “What’s This” question mark cursor can be deactivated by selecting Help > What’s This once again.

Click Show Navigation to open the help system in full-frame mode, with the current Table of Contents entry highlighted so you can locate your topic’s position within the help system.
VectorWorks cannot directly access context-sensitive help for dialog boxes opened from buttons on palettes or other dialog boxes (for example, from the Advanced Properties button on the Object Info palette for a viewport, or the Worksheets menu commands). To obtain help on these items, launch the help and locate the help topic by conducting a help search, or by navigating to the topic through the help index.
