Full-frame Mode
The full-frame mode of the help is divided into two resizable sections. Navigation tabs are available on the left, and the help topics display on the right. In addition, navigation buttons, related topics links, cross-reference links, and pop-ups maximize your ability to locate information.
Using the Table of Contents
The Contents tab is divided into books and pages. The initially-displayed books represent the main VectorWorks products. Closed book icons represent sections that have subsections. Double-click on a book to open it and display its contents. On the right, the relevant information in that chapter or page is displayed. When a book is expanded, the closed book icon is replaced by an open book icon. Click an open book to close it. Page icons represent individual help topics that have no further subsections.
Using the Index
The Index tab displays an alphabetical listing of topic links in the help system. Click the letter that corresponds to the term, and then scroll to the term in the list below.
Topic headers with subtopics are displayed in black; the subtopics are indented below. A topic header cannot be clicked.
If the indexed term occurs in several topics, select the applicable location from the displayed list.
Searching the Topics
Use the Search tab to search the help system. Enter the word or words to search for, and specify the books to be searched or search through All Available Books. Click Go. A list displays, with all the topics in the help system that contain the search term. If searching for multiple words, the help topics listed contain all the words entered. Topics are ranked in order of relevance, and display both the topic heading and the book where the topic is located. The higher the ranking, the more likely the topic is relevant to the search.
A topic selected from a search list displays the search term(s) highlighted (Windows and Internet Explorer only).
Navigation Buttons
Use the three navigation buttons in the upper left of the topic window to access other topics in the system.

Printing a Topic
Click Print to print the current topic. The standard print dialog box allows the selection of the desired printer.
Topic Window Features
Product List
Each VectorWorks Design Series feature indicates the product(s) to which it belongs. If the feature contains performance variations between products, that is also detailed.
Breadcrumb Navigation
At the bottom of each topic page, breadcrumb navigation displays the current topic path and facilitates navigation to other topics along the path. Click on a breadcrumb topic to navigate to that topic.
Related Topics
A Related Topics button is located on the toolbar and is also contained at the end of certain topics. When clicked, a list of additional topics with information related to the current topic is displayed. Click on one of the topics to view the additional information. To return to the original topic, click Back in your browser toolbar.
The Back button may not function in Safari; use the Previous and Next buttons, or the Table of Contents, to return to the original topic.
Cross-references
Cross-references located within a topic are underlined and in color. Click on these links to display more information about the underlined topic.
Tool Pop-up
For ease of use, when a tool name is mentioned for the first time during a procedure, a pop-up graphic showing the VectorWorks tool button displays when the mouse hovers over the tool name. Tool names with a graphic pop-up are underlined and bold.
