The full-frame mode of the help is divided into two resizable sections. Navigation tabs are available on the left, and the help topics display on the right. In addition, navigation buttons, related topics links, cross-reference links, and pop-ups maximize your ability to locate information.
The Contents tab is divided into books and pages. The initially-displayed books represent the main VectorWorks products. Closed book icons represent sections that have subsections. Double-click on a book to open it and display its contents. On the right, the relevant information in that chapter or page is displayed. When a book is expanded, the closed book icon is replaced by an open book icon. Click an open book to close it. Page icons represent individual help topics that have no further subsections.
Use the Search tab to search the help system. Enter the word or words to search for, and specify the books to be searched or search through
All Available Books. Click
Go. A list displays, with all the topics in the help system that contain the search term. If searching for multiple words, the help topics listed contain all the words entered. Topics are ranked in order of relevance, and display both the topic heading and the book where the topic is located. The higher the ranking, the more likely the topic is relevant to the search.
Click Print
to print the current topic. The standard print dialog box allows the selection of the desired printer.
A Related Topics button

is located on the toolbar and is also contained at the end of certain topics. When clicked, a list of additional topics with information related to the current topic is displayed. Click on one of the topics to view the additional information. To return to the original topic, click
Back in your browser toolbar.
The Back button may not function in Safari; use the
Previous and
Next buttons, or the Table of Contents, to return to the original topic.
For ease of use, when a tool name is mentioned for the first time during a procedure, a pop-up graphic showing the VectorWorks tool button displays when the mouse hovers over the tool name. Tool names with a graphic pop-up are underlined and bold.
